Jorge Antonio Jacas Vivanco from Santiago de Cuba, was born in 1957.  Jorge is a member of the Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC ).

Having participated in 47 group shows and 20 individual shows in Cuba and abroad, Jorge has many awards which include: the Award for Best Design (Feria Internacional Expo Caribe, 2005; Group (Ceramics Biennal Amelia Peláez , 2008; and the individual work “Paso Tres” Ceramics Biennal Amelia Peláez , 2011.

In 2004, Jorge represented Cuba at the 8th Biennial of Ceramic Art in Belgium, and in 2009 he exhibited an individual show and was a member of the Jury at the Ceramics Biennal Amelia Peláez.

His work is on permanent display in the National Museum of Contemporary Ceramics in Cuba, and is included in public and private collections in Germany, Belgium , Canada , Chile, Colombia , Cuba , Spain , United States , France, Guadeloupe , Haiti, Holland , Jamaica , Martinique, Mexico, Switzerland and Venezuela.
